The Patagonia of Chile and Argentina offers a huge diversity of fly fishing opportunities. With a wealth of enormous and breathtaking glacial lakes, crystal clear rivers, tail waters, tributaries, spring creeks and small fertile lagunas teeming with trout, Patagonia is truly an anglers paradise. Not only that, if you compare the total cost of a fly fishing trip in Patagonia to one in Alaska, you will find that for the same money or less, you can enjoy a fishing adventure here, experience the culture and charm of South America, and fish with a dry fly while snow flakes are falling during the North American winter.
After many years of guiding and fishing in Patagonia I have developed close relationships with a network of excellent guides and lodges in both Southern Chile and Argentina. Because of this I am able to host and guide trips at my favorite places in each country. Also, for the 2011/2012 season I am officially offering combination trips to Chile and Argentina, giving you the opportunity to experience the two different sides of Patagonia in one trip. Each has it’s unique characteristics and special charms. The places that we visit are in the prettiest part of Patagonia with excellent fishing and stunning scenery. Not only that, they are only an hour apart so there are no long travel days during your stay.
In both countries, I am able to offer mixed itineraries to travelers with different interests. Over the last seasons, I have had many groups with fishermen, hikers and horseback riders on the same trip. For the angler with a non-angling spouse we can work out a number of different ideas to give you both what you want on your trip to Patagonia.
Custom itineraries for your group of two to twelve anglers can showcase the fishing, the culture and the amazing scenery. Trip costs range from $2750 to $4200 USD per week not including airfare.
