North of Esquel, Argentina, in the beautiful Los Alerces National Park is the lovely Hosteria El Aura. On the shores of Lago Verde, the first class cabins and lodge are in the middle of a fly fishermans’ paradise. Nearby are the Rio Grande, Rivadavia, Arrayanes, Frey, Stange and Carrileufu Rivers, El Canal Spring Creek, Lago Verde, Lago Kruger, Lago Menendez, Lago Futalaufquen and Laguna Larga. I like to combine a week long trip with time at El Aura a few days at El Encuentro Lodge on the Rio Grande as well.  This way by only traveling an hour and a half, you will see as much quality water and accommodations as possible while minimizing your travel time.
